A TEAM OF JOURNALISTS LAND IN THE MALDIVES TO ATTEND THE VISIT MALDIVES STORYTELLERS’ CONFERENCE
The Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC / Visit Maldives) invited some of Germany’s most famous journalists and bloggers to experience the world-class hospitality and sustainable offerings that await travellers on the Sunny Side of Life. The crew landed in the Maldives on May 29, 2023, to immerse themselves in the unique experiences, products, and Maldives’ famous service standards until June 4, 2023. The familiarisation journey began after the participants attended the eagerly anticipated Visit Maldives Storytellers Conference 2023. During their journey, the group stayed at Le Meridien Maldives Resort & Spa and W Maldives.
The largest gathering of travel writers, journalists, bloggers, influencers, and media specialists in the Sunny Side of Life this year was the Visit Maldives Storytellers’ Conference 2023, which took place from May 30 to June 2 and featured more than 70 content creators from around the globe.
In order to give the participants first-hand accounts of Maldivian hospitality through firsthand local life experiences, the team is made up of four journalists representing four publications and one public relations representative from German speaking markets (Germany, Switzerland, and Austria), with a focus on affordable luxury and sustainability from the Sunny Side of Life.
This exciting media trip is part of MMPRC’s marketing strategy for German-speaking countries, with an emphasis on presenting the many goods, experiences, and trends of Maldives tourism. The German market is presently the top fourth source market, with 61,674 arrivals as of June 6th.
